Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director-Community Engagement, this position will plan, direct and oversee all duties and functions for LMU Athletics External Relations as it relates to its marketing, promotions and revenue generating efforts, including (but not limited to) season/single/group ticket campaigns, corporate partnership fulfillment, summer camps, and digital marketing campaigns.
Typically a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Sports Management or similar discipline or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum 4 year's experience with an emphasis in sports administration or marketing fields.
Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of: relationship management and/or client relations. Ability to manage complex projects with dependencies, deadlines, budgets and outside resources. Ability to implement marketing and communication principles and strategies in the execution of assigned projects. Ability to initiate ideas, develop concepts and review the effectiveness of processes to ensure professional standards and high quality. Ability to assess the needs of clients and suggest appropriate measures to meet those needs. Ability to work effectively and independently with internal and external constituencies. Ability to operate in an environment in which skilled relationship management and consensus-building is required to deliver successful outcomes.
Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by background in preparing comprehensive reports and executive summaries incorporating complex, highly technical information.
Highly developed problem-solving skills. Collaborative and team-focused working style.
Demonstrated computer competency and preferably knowledgeable of relevant systems.
