The Marketing Programs Coordinator supports the marketing program's initiatives and activities. These initiatives and activities focus on Sidley-executed marketing programs and events, third-party sponsorships and conferences, the firm's alumni initiative and various industry networks. This position will interact with colleagues across the global Sidley marketing team, as well as clients, firm lawyers, alumni, and program vendors. The coordinator also works with her/his team to support best practices that encourage consistency across Sidley marketing programs and events.
Support best practices, planning tools and templates for various programs and/or sponsorships.
Assist the marketing programs team and overall Marketing department with tasks supporting the launch and implementation of programs/events for clients and alumni.
Maintain lists and databases related to marketing programs, alumni and industry networks.
Perform research for contact record updates, alumni news, meeting venues and other research as needed.
Assist with communications related to marketing programs, alumni and industry networks.
Support alumni social media posts and related metrics.
Support practices to communicate effectively about Sidley marketing programs and initiatives, both internally and externally.
Coordinate metrics and tracking tools to report on results of programs.
Assist, as needed, in the planning of high-level programs, such as our General Counsel roundtables and other key programs.
Work with marketing colleagues and lawyers to identify third-party conferences of interest.
Support firm relationships, as needed, with preferred external conference providers and serve as additional point of contact to negotiate sponsorships and to place Sidley speakers.
Liaise with marketing staff to gather feedback on third-party conference providers and specific programs; support and maintain systems to track such information.
Liaise with other groups/departments to:
Ensure consistency in presentation of Continuing Legal Education (CLE)/Continuing Professional Development (CPD) information.
Evaluate webinar and conference providers
Refine and improve use of CRM system to create targeted invitation lists.
Provide program support and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in marketing, program/event planning, recruiting, or similar field
Demonstrated ability to maintain event planning tools and resources, including budgets
Experience with coordinating long-term projects
Ability to execute programs and projects across multiple locations
Previous presentation experience
Ability to travel as needed
Law firm/professional services marketing experience
