The Digital Marketing Manager serves as an individual and key contributor of digital media marketing, promotion and engagement across NSCS’s social media platforms, websites, blogs, digital media and email marketing to support the organization’s annual recruitment and engagement targets. The position will work closely with a Marketing Communications Manager, Project Manager and Director of Marketing, and is roughly broken down into the follow with a specific focus on innovation, results and empowerment.
50% digital media marketing and recruitment
25% website/blog management
25% social media management, including integration and interaction with chapter social media
Redesign, build and maintain a social media strategy that supports the organization’s recruitment and engagement targets.
Monitor, post, engage, track and respond to all digital engagement across NSCS’s platforms.
Develop, maintain, measure and deploy against a quarterly digital editorial calendar.
In close coordination with the Marketing Communications Manager, co-manage the flow of email marketing, from start to finish, to include liaising with internal stakeholders, editing content, loading content, acquiring dynamic content, scheduling emails, monitoring and reporting out on all email campaigns and recommending opportunities for growth.
Review, interpret, implement, maintain and grow external recommendations on SEO and SEM.
In partnership with the Marketing Communications Manager, utilize trending topics, thought leadership and other forms of timely editorial to digitally position NSCS as a thought leader and support engagement targets.
Coordinate organization’s monthly video production schedule, including deliverables.
Support the CEO’s social media and respond on his behalf when necessary.
Brainstorm new and creative digital growth strategies to support recruitment and engagement.
Monitor, pull, review, synthesize and make business recommendations from core digital analytics.
Maintain a strong company voice online and monitor and flag all discussion related to NSCS.
Support chapters with their social media efforts.
Manage end to end all digital projects.
Stay on top of, evaluate and recommend new and emerging technologies to reach, engage and convert prospects and members.
Support tactical functions of spring recruitment
Four-year degree from an accredited university.
Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in digital and social media (social media to drive business results is key)
Proven work experience in digital media and/or digital marketing.
Ability to differentiate between digital media tactics and measurable strategy.
Keen understanding of SEO and SEM
Familiarity with web design and content management systems
Phenomenal project management and analytical skills.
Ability, with experience, to manage numerous projects with competing deadlines.
Attention to detail and a “go-getter”
Aptitude for thinking big, working wisely and quickly iterating
Ability to develop and deploy against digital media campaigns that support organizational objectives with measurable results.
Responsiveness, not only reactionary but also being at the forefront, and driving the conversation.
Increased engagement across all platforms to include more conversations, likes, forwards, clicks, impressions, reach, time spent, etc.
Timely, creative and measured postings across all platforms.
Ability to partner with external video vendor to deliver value-added digital content nuggets.
