It's the opportunity to do your life's best work.(sm) As the Senior Sourcing and Procurement Consultant, you will be challenged to oversee the strategic sourcing, procurement, and contracting efforts in support of marketing / advertising, human capital, IT, and other indict spend commodities as assigned. The successful candidate for this role will have strong experience with the full sourcing & procurement process, analytical and risk management skills, and exceptional relationship management and consultative skills. Primary Responsibilities:Review, develop, redline, and negotiate third-party vendor contracts, including Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and amendments in cooperation with legal, internal stakeholders and external business partnersNegotiate rates, value adds, service level agreements (SLAs) and other legal and business termsDevelop impactful SLAs or key performance indicators (KPIs) for a supplier's servicesEffectively partner with key internal support functions, legal, finance and riskSupport category management, sourcing (RFx,) and contracting efforts in assigned areasCreate project plans, as appropriate, to manage and execute on all contracting initiativesSupport end-to-end procurement process from sourcing through contracting, and ongoing vendor management
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 5 or more years of Sourcing and Procurement experience and/or contracting experience Contract management, drafting, development, redlining, and negotiation experience Proficiency with MS Office Preferred Qualifications: MBA or JD Strategic Sourcing and Procurement experience Experience with Ariba and PeopleSoft Soft Skills:Ability to identify risk and contract around it appropriately Ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple internal stakeholders at all levels Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects and tasks, and effectively prioritize work Careers with Optum.
