The Marketing Department at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, is seeking an individual with industry experience and proven teaching effectiveness to fill a Lecturer position, beginning fall 2018, with a possibility of a January 2019 start.
For a candidate to be considered, a master's degree and significant professional experience are required.
The person hired will be expected to teach 18 credit hours a year at the undergraduate level in various marketing courses. In particular there is a strong need in an introductory course in creativity and communication, exposing students to the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), design, and creativity principles. In addition the candidate should be prepared to work closely with other faculty to develop educational offerings of value to students, and support other events offered by the school.
The ideal candidate is expected to have industry/consulting experience in marketing, social media, and graphic design tools and experience teaching at the university (AACSB) level. For example, a background in industry will allow the ideal candidate to engage with our diverse group of corporate partners and advise students on different types of career options.
