As part of the marketing and communications team, the Digital Marketing & Design Coordinator assists in implementing digital marketing strategies and initiatives under the communication and marketing umbrella.
The ideal candidate will be excited to turn our marketing ideas into beautifully designed digital marketing assets and developer-ready landing pages. This candidate will also be comfortable updating our Wordpress website on a daily basis, implementing basic landing pages, building emails, and gathering content from our clients. We need a finisher with good marketing instincts who implements the strategies our team delivers.
Essential Functions of the Job
Design landing pages, emails, and digital marketing assets for OutdoorIndustry.org and our social networks
Assist with digital content creation for social and web
Assist with support requests for site updates and content loading on OutdoorIndustry.org
Carry projects to completion from design to implementation on OutdoorIndustry.org
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Design & Creative
Participate in brainstorming and campaign development sessions.
Design developer-ready, conversion-focused landing pages and campaign pages for outdoorindustry.org and digital campaigns
Assist with designing assets for occasional print campaigns leading up to events
Assist with curating photos on outdoorindustry.org and OIA social networks to support content and campaigns
Assist with capturing photos and videos at events
Design email templates for marketing campaigns, automated communications, and nurture campaigns using email marketing best practices and trends
Assemble and distribute marketing emails and digital communications
Execute drip and nurture campaigns
Maintain and advise internal clients on email marketing best practices and opportunities to achieve goals of campaigns
Assist with responding to digital support requests, updating outdoorindustry.org, editing content and creating new pages through Wordpress.
Maintain homepage and other landing pages by curating existing content
Assist with SEO and usability best practices.
Assist in social media marketing planning to support campaigns with design assets
Create and design content to support campaigns for OIA social marketing, OIA web site, and OIA paid marketing campaigns
Working with OIA social contractors and digital vendor, occasionally assist in maintaining OIA social networks through posting, community engagement, and campaigns
Expert knowledge in: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS and a popular ESP.
Strong knowledge in Wordpress, Google Analytics, Social media, Excel and PowerPoint.
Bonus: Familiarity with SalesForce, and Pardot.
Bonus: video editing
Required Education and Experience
BA/BS degree in digital media, new media, marketing, graphic design or related field.
A minimum of 2 years of digital marketing experience within a professional environment.
A minimum of 2 years of email marketing experience within a professional environment.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in the outdoor industry is a bonus.
