ESSENTIAL POSITION PURPOSE As additional Athletic Administrative support, the Assistant Athletic Director-External Operations / Corporate and staff, will be integral and enthusiastic co-contributors to our “Event Management Team”. As additional “Faces of all Argo Athletic Events”, you will blend your team to allow them to operate at their highest point of contribution in support of the culture of Argo Athletics.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Works in conjunction with Athletics Staff, Business Office, University Marketing and Development Offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES External Operations •Corporate-Enhance the Current Revenue driven via Business Relationships oDevelop System to Insure Argo Athletics Performs re: Corporate Contract •Meet university established annual corporate fundraising goals. •Oversight and Management of Athletics Revenue Production oCorporate Sponsorships oTicket Sales oSpecial Events oAthletic Scholarship Association •Special Events-Work in coordination with the Argo event Management Team to initiate, organize, and manage any special events. (Spring Auction, Golf Tournament, etc.) •Marketing-Blend Corporate Needs, Game Day needs, Sports Info needs to enhance our “Campus/Community Presence” •Sports Information-Establish Parameters for Reporting/Stories/Etc. for all Sports oEvent Management Duties-Special Interest Stories oSocial Media Management •Athletic Scholarship Association-Work in conjunction with University Philanthropy to research and create best model, best practice for developing an engaging and fun “Argo Club” with the specific intent of creating an ongoing funding source for Argo Athletics Scholarships •Serve on department and university committees as assigned. •Excellent written and oral communications skills is required. •Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and excellent time management skills is required. •Other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Athletics.
This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in business, marketing, or sales management. A master’s degree is preferred.
2-5 years of documented full-time experience in Revenue Producing Position
