LGC Maine Standards is an in vitro diagnostic manufacturer of VALIDATE® linearity and calibration verification test kits, covering 136 analytes across clinical chemistry, immunochemistry, hemostasis and point of care. In addition, LGC Maine Standards manufactures private-label quality controls, calibrators, and proficiency testing solutions, processes specialized biological materials and provides contract quality control and method validation services to the diagnostic, pharmaceutical, CRO and related industries.
We are recruiting a Marketing Manager, based in Cumberland Foreside, Maine (15 min. north of Portland).
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of “best-in-class” marketing strategies that (a) support the business’ product and service offering, (b) drive market expansion and (c) increase revenue. This position ensures that budgets, timelines and performance objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Lead the systematic planning, development and delivery of robust marketing strategies that align to the Business Plan and support the business’ efforts to meet revenue and EBIDTA financial targets.
Champion the Voice of Customer.
Manage direct oversight of activities across all marketing functions, including:
Brand Management & Identity
Thought Leadership * Monitor, evaluate and report on all marketing activity, assessing impact across revenue, share growth, ROI and equity metrics and making critical decisions for the prioritization of future marketing initiatives.
Strengthen marketing competency across cross-functional teams within the business, improving the base level of knowledge and providing exposure to emerging marketing trends.
Ensure that internal stakeholders receive information necessary to meet their goals.
Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills:
Demonstrated ability in marketing planning and execution, with outstanding commercial and marketing literacy and a track-record of developing business cases and delivering on them.
Strength in digital and social media marketing.
Highly effective oral and written communication skills, with effective meeting and presentation skills.
Sound creative judgement, including the ability to write compelling, relevant and distinctive briefs for use inside and outside the business.
Highly effective analytical and financial skills, with a demonstrated ability to prepare business cases and support them with financial justification.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related scientific discipline. MBA preferred.
10+ years of marketing experience, including 5+ years in strategy development and/or product portfolio management, with clinical diagnostic industry experience preferred.
Proven management experience, with a record of having planned and delivered significant growth.
Occasional travel, including overnight and international, is required.
