Immigrant Services Calgary (ISC) is looking for a full-time Communications and Marketing Coordinator to develop, design, and implement internal and external communication and marketing strategy and materials congruent with ISC’s mission, vision, values, and branding. This position reports to the Manager, Corporate and Community Engagement.
Identify and assist with the development and implementation of communication and marketing strategies
Research, write, edit, proofread and produce high quality print and electronic materials promoting agency services
Support all ISC communication and marketing activities including ISC’s main signature event “Immigrants of Distinction Awards”
Produce and send promotional blasts and Public Service Announcements
Implement brand consistency congruent with ISC’s strategic direction
Coordinate media relations as it pertains to internal and external activities and events
Use analytical tools to measure and grow audiences and conduct daily media monitoring for reporting purposes
Coordinate ISC’s website content and assist with website redesigning as necessary
Assist with the implementation of ISC’s Advocacy and Communications Plan
Work interdepartmentally to ensure that all aspects of agency activities and their impact, including the annual report are communicated and presented in accordance with our mission and communication guidelines
Act as an ambassador in the community embarking on every opportunity to share and promote our mission, vision, values, services and activities that support them, including their impact
Help disseminate Immigrant Services Calgary brand and services to the larger community
Assist fund development, community and corporate engagement through integrated communication strategies
Manage social media accounts, including content development, maintaining editorial calendars, and tracking growth and metrics
Assist with other initiatives as required
Skills & Qualifications
Degree or diploma in communications and/or marketing
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to communicate messages in a professional and engaging manner
Exceptional organizational abilities and time management skills
Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating communication and marketing plans and materials
Strong computer skills (MS Office programs) and proficiency working with Adobe tools (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop)
Good knowledge of website maintenance and use of a variety of content management systems including CiviCRM
Social Media experience with an understanding of Search Engine Optimization and Analytics
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment; adaptable and responsive to shifting priorities
Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends and overtime during peak periods
A written assignment will be administered as part of the recruitment process.
