Founded in 1988, Exodus World Service’s mission is to mobilize the Christian community to welcome and befriend refugees. We do this by educating churches about the plight of refugees, connecting volunteers with refugees through practical service projects, and empowering others to champion refugee ministry.
Exodus World Service seeks a talented strategist and content creator to drive engagement of the Christian community in the lives of refugees both domestically and internationally. The ideal candidate will create, execute and distribute impactful content across a variety of mediums, including e-mail, website, social media, print and video.

Position reports to Executive Director.
Formulate and execute campaigns that build awareness of refugee issues and drive engagement of stakeholders (donors, churches, volunteers, etc.).
Create, execute and distribute impactful content utilizing various platforms including web, e-mail, social media, video and print.
Develop and manage an editorial calendar, ensuring quality content is available and deadlines are met. Integrate social media as part of coordinated content strategy.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (staff, donors, volunteers, refugees) to produce relevant content that meets mission objectives.
Conceive, draft, proofread and edit materials quickly and with attention to detail.
Manage all content resources including designers, photographers, videographers and other personnel.
Maintain brand and editorial standards to ensure content across the organization is consistent in style and tone.
Track content performance across multiple channels and report key learnings.
Generate new and innovative ideas to increase engagement and grow target audiences.
Keep up with industry trends and topics to ensure effective marketing communications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

3 - 5 years’ experience in marketing, copywriting or other content production.
Experience with variety of marketing channels (e-mail, social, direct mail, SEO, etc.).
Ability to write clearly and concisely, including capability to edit and improve on content written by other team members.
Strong project management skills, including experience managing editorial calendars and multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, including a positive attitude and customer service approach.
Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
High level of organization, attention to detail and time management skills.
Experience relating to diverse groups of people. Knowledge of refugee and cross-cultural issues a plus.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Experience with CRM database and/or HTML a plus.
Occasional international travel may be required.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English or related field.
