The Olin Business School is seeking applications from those qualified for a senior lecturer faculty position. The major responsibilities will include teaching in all of our undergraduate and graduate degree programs: BSBA, MBA, and our MSCA program.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The major activities for the BSBA, MBA, and MSCA programs will include: introducing the different career opportunities for marketing students through the “industry platform” course; conducting a few sessions describing the areas of marketing, selecting and inviting a slate of speakers from the different areas of the marketing industry, and coordinating with Olin Marketing Club to host the speakers when they are on campus; offering career advice for students interested in marketing careers and being involved in related activities; offering academic advice for students about marketing courses and optimal course schedule; helping students prepare for marketing case competitions and marketing interviews; and coordinating with the placement office to obtain industry contacts for internships and full-time positions. The senior lecturer may also help with the Center for Customer Analytics and Big Data (CCABD); this will include working with CCABD industry partners.
Candidates for senior lecturer should have a Master’s degree and extensive marketing industry experience.
