The Marketing and Design Coordinator is responsible for conceptualizing and designing solutions for Library print and electronic publications and other communications including developing graphic components for these publications. The incumbent is responsible for the development and coordination of the Library marketing plan for the purpose of building awareness and satisfaction with Library services, coordinates the work of the Library Marketing Advisory Council, and is responsible for the design and maintenance of the public relations sections of the website.. The Coordinator develops and submits for approval an annual design and marketing budget and monitors expenditures throughout the fiscal year. The Coordinator participates in planning strategy for programming and other communications, marketing, and development for the Library as a member of the Strategy and Communications unit.
The incumbent would be responsible for creating and implementing all stages of the design process. Portfolio (PDF or online link) are strongly encouraged with submission of employment application.

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
At least four years of high-level design experience in the field of commercial art in an educational, media or related environment
Advanced proficiency with standard graphic software packages (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and experience working with Content Management Systems and basic HTML
Must have strong sense of typography, layout, design, color and overall aesthetics
Ability to learn new software packages and apply them to assignments
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and experience managing multiple projects and responsibilities to meet deadlines
Must be able to effectively receive creative direction from outside sources incorporate those suggestions into design implementations
Strong organizational, interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate with customers effectively
Video editing and/or production experience is a plus
