POSITION TITLE: SENIOR DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: MARKETING AND CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS
Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Science in marketing, communications, and journalism required. Will consider other degree with Federated experience. Undergraduate degree in marketing, digital marketing or some work on a related advanced degree in lieu of undergraduate internet study preferred.
Minimum 3 - 5 years in marketing with some experience in website, digital, social media and/or email marketing required.
Some understanding of financial terms and investment products required.
Intermediate to advanced PC skills in Microsoft Office applications required
Familiarity with managing electronic content required (such as websites and targeted e-mails)
Serve as a project manager for website and digital projects of small to medium scope. Organize meetings, co-author business specifications, test new content/functionality, train business users, using various internal and external systems, and communicate information to business units. Act as a liaison between the Marketing groups, BISD, Product Management and other stakeholders for the project to identify challenges, options and recommendations to meet business needs. Implement the chosen solution.
Work with Marketing’s distribution and content managers to assist with development of email campaigns and marketing automation/sales lead generation processes that are aligned with Product Management & Marketing’s business line and product goals, as well as to generate qualified leads for the sales force.
Work on strategic initiatives to develop, evaluate and deliver content and features via the Internet and other digital media.
Serve as Marketing’s business expert on Federated’s website content management systems.
Understand compliance responsibilities with respect to content and design review and takes steps to assure that projects are reviewed and approved.
Work on cross-functional teams to translate client needs to digital solutions.
Assist the manager, as requested, with drafting plans and proposals to reflect the agreed-upon department and team goals, deadlines and budget.
Perform competitive research to help drive technology recommendations and to support problem-solving.
Follow test plans to test new features/technology as a key member of the technology project team.
Work with team members to identify the optimal website and/or functional design to improve the user’s experience and to meet business needs. Assist digital content manager with basic layout changes to our web page templates.
Assist with analytical reporting for all of Federated’s website properties, email campaigns, lead scoring/marketing automation programs and social media properties. Identify key takeaways and trends – what worked, what didn’t and ways to potentially improve our results.
