A Chicago-based non-profit association seeks a part-time Marketing/Administrative Consultant to:
Advise the association on branding, positioning, communications, and other marketing issues.
Develop and implement a marketing strategy according to association objectives and budget.
Track and evaluate the ROI/KPI in relation to marketing initiatives.
Provide periodic reports to the association board of directors, including suggestions for improvements and new marketing ideas.
Keep abreast of emerging trends in social media marketing and assist with maintaining a prominent brand position in social media platforms including the development of social media calendars.
Take lead role in drafting copy, digital ads, for association advertisements in magazines, quarterly email newsletters, and other media.
Promote association events, volunteer opportunities, and resources/benefits. Occasionally attend events (as many as 1-2 times per month Chicagoland area).
Assist in development of volunteers for various committees of the association including the promotion of volunteer opportunities. Direct and track new volunteers through the onboarding process.
Build and maintain database for alumni of Association Diversity Intern group. Manage that group’s LinkedIn page.
Assist with venue search and selection for events as needed.
Develop and nurture long-term relationships with association board of directors, association member volunteers, and association sponsors.
Attend regularly scheduled calls with association standing committees.
Previous experience as a marketing consultant and event planner is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of social media marketing and analytics.
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
Ability to commit to approximately 10-20 hours per week on association matters.
Telecommuting is allowed.
