The Elgin Symphony Orchestra is seeking to fill the position of Marketing Manager. As a direct report to the Senior Director of Marketing, incumbent will assume responsibility for graphic design projects, social media marketing, product merchandising, and program book layout and updating; will coordinate all performance venue activities for concerts; will assist Sr. Director in determining and implementing marketing strategies and will serve as box office and administrative back up support for incoming telephone inquiries to ensure the highest level of patron satisfaction is maintained.
Seeking self-motivated, detailed oriented, highly organized individual with no less than two-years of experience in Marketing. Must have extensive knowledge of and work experiences utilizing multiple graphic design mediums (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Google Display) and multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram) Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher) required. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferred. Knowledge of music, orchestral repertoire and performing artists preferred. Applicant must be a team player and will be required to work concert weekends and other evening hours.
